Sharkey thermal expansion of polymers

Webb29 jan. 2024 · As it can be seen in figure 1, the linear coefficient of thermal expansion for PEDOT:PSS increases from 16 × 10 −6 to 62 × 10 −6 K −1 upon increasing temperature from 100 to 500 K. At room temperature (300 K), it reaches the value of 53 × 10 −6 K −1, which is very close to the value of 50 × 10 −6 K −1 estimated by Kahn [ 18 ]. WebbThe purpose of this paper is to investigate the mechanics of thermal mismatch induced bending behavior of SMP/elastomer laminate and the SMP induced locking, and study how material properties of the SMP can contribute to bending and locking. Furthermore, designs that can be achieved without using 3D printing will be explored.
