Webthanks man this helped me a lot (and prevented me from needing to replay things i already did) Bring up Uplay on your desktop, click the three bars on the top left to open the menu, click settings, should be on the first set of checkboxes. "Enable In-game overlay for supported games." Thats what you want unchecked.
